Former FSU All-American Deion Sanders is one of 75 former college players on the ballot for the 2008 hall of fame class that will be announced Wednesday during a noon press conference in New York City. Defensive lineman Ron Simmons, FSU's first two-time consensus All-American at FSU , is also on the ballot. Simmons (1977-80) was considered to be Bobby Bowden's first nationally visible signee.
Tony Barnhart, Mr. College Football at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, says FSU and Georgia Tech represent the best of their respective divisions. His picks in the Atlantic Division:
