Rosen Has Something Special

Danny Rosen's FSU bio is very short. Just a couple of sentences for the FSU pitcher. However, the Noles are looking for big things from this unknown

Rosen has impressed FSU coaches in fall practice after sitting out the past spring at Miami-Dade Community College. He went from unknown walk-on to a pitcher who should factor into the Seminoles' 2007 season.

“He's definitely going to be used, and he's going to be a guy who will be used on big weekends, including this first weekend (against Tennessee),” pitching coach Jamey Shouppe said. “The luxury of Danny Rosen is he can be used in so many areas. He can start, he can throw in the middle and he can even close and he's done all of that in his career.”

“When he came out for the tryouts nobody was really paying attention to him,” said Henry, FSU's ace. “He gets on the hill and by the end of his outing the whole team was out there watching. He had something special from the first day and that's why he is still around.”
