FSU Baseball Projected To Finish Second In Atlantic Division


The ACC released its pre-season coaches' poll and Florida State was picked to finish second in the Atlantic Division behind 2006 College World Series team Clemson. FSU received one first place vote and had the fourth-most total votes from the conference coaches.

Atlantic Division Schools (Last years record) :
1. Clemson 53-16, 24-6 ACC
2. Florida State 55 44-21, 16-13 ACC
3. NC State 40-23, 16-13 ACC
4. Wake Forest 33-22, 16-13 ACC
5. Boston College 28-25-1, 9-21 ACC
6. Maryland 26-30, 8-22 ACC

The 13th-ranked FSU baseball team is just over a week away from opening the 2007 campaign but you won't have to wait that long to see this year's squad. Fans can get their first glimpse of the 2007 Seminoles at Baseball Fan Day this Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Fans are welcome to come out to Mike Martin FIeld at Dick Howser Stadium and meet the 2007 squad. The players and coaches will sign autographs and the bat girls will be on hand with free posters and schedule cards. The team will then take BP and scrimmage later in the day.
