Richardson Doing Double Duty
Freshman D'Vontrey Richardson is a quarterback for the football team who redshirted in the fall, and now he's working as an outfielder for the baseball team. While his game needs polish, it's clear to those who watch him that the talent is there.
"He has great hand-eye coordination, he's strong, he's quick. The ball reacts off his bat a little differently than it does a lot of guys on this team," FSU head coach Mike Martin said. "Devo just needs to play. That's the key for him to improve. I'm hoping that we can get him to a point before the year is out to where he really shows that, 'Hey, I do belong.' "
