Highly recruited Washington (D.C.) Ballou defensive tackle Marvin Austin has made his highly-anticipated announcement, choosing North Carolina over Florida State on National Signing Day. Austin is the No. 1 ranked defensive tackle in the nation, and the No. 7 overall player in the Rivals.com Class of 2007 national rankings. He was named a high school All-American, and earned a nomination to the U.S. Army All-American Game. "I took football out of the equation, and made the best decision for me," Austin said immediately following his announcement.
