Florida State welcomes Indiana to Tallahassee for the first time since 1959 and for just the fourth time overall. The Seminoles lead the all-time series 3-0 outscoring the Hoosiers 41-25 in those three games. This will be the second straight season the Seminoles will face an opponent from the Big Ten and the third opponent in the last four years. In 2004, Michigan State made the trip to Tallahassee, while Minnesota visited Dick Howser Stadium in 2006. Florida State holds an all-time record of 69-14 against teams from the Big Ten with its last loss coming against Minnesota in Minneapolis back on March 7, 2004. The Seminoles have played every team from the Big Ten except Northwestern and have a winning record against all but one team, the Purdue Boilermakers (0-1-0). Purdue defeated FSU 11-1 in Tallahassee back in 1993 in the only meeting between the two teams.
FRIDAY: Senior Bryan Henry will make his sixth start of the season against the Hoosiers, all on Friday, as he has posted a 4-0 mark with an ERA of 2.63 in 2007. Henry has allowed a run or less in four of five starts this season including three straight games where he has given up just one run. Last week against Siena, Henry pitched six solid innings allowing an unearned run on three hits. He struck out seven and did not issue a walk against the Saints. It was the second time this season the senior right hander has pitched at least six innings without issuing a free pass.
